I am an avid amateur golfer and Bird photographer. My Harpy Hat is a critical piece of my equipment. It has been very comfortable in both environments and provides much needed sun protection

This hat is spectacular! My hobby is birding and photography and that puts me in a variety of sunlight situations. The shade wings provide for a reduced glare which enables a better focus on the bird or whatever I’m photographing. Even with higher winds it stays stable on my head. I would recommend this for almost any outdoor activity.

The material is soft, breathable, and surprisingly durable. What really stands out, though, is the sun and UV protection—it’s perfect for those sunny days when I need extra shielding. I’m also impressed by the wind resistance; I've worn it hiking on breezy Seattle days, and it stays put without a problem. It even offers a bit of shelter during light misty weather. The fact that it’s handmade in Texas and created by a true Texan adds a personal touch that really sets it apart. I’m also a big fan of their t-shirt designs, especially the Texas sunset graphics. I was lucky enough to try out a Harpy Hat early on in the process of these hats being built. It is by far the most comfortable hat I have ever put on. It is a staple in my golf game, especially under the Texas sun in the summers. I have worn bucket hats most of my career and immediately switched to the Harpy when I was introduced to it. You get the protection and shade of a bucket hats, but not the flimsiness of it. I highly recommend getting a Harpy Hat for anyone who spends time outdoors!

I am a huge fan of this hat. I am constantly out in the sun playing pickleball, golf, tennis, and enjoying all things outdoors. It provides 40% more UV protection against those harmful rays from 9am-3pm that normal baseball caps don't provide. This is extremely helping in preventing skin cancer!!
