About Our Founder

Growing up in Texas, I struggled to find a hat that provided adequate UV protection for my face and ears while outdoors.  Bucket hats offered more protection, but I couldn’t get used to their cumbersome designs and the strings flapping around. After a year of searching for alternatives without success, I decided to create my own design. Over the next 18 months, I worked with a top hat maker in the U.S. to develop prototypes and eventually filed a patent. Through extensive testing with outdoor athletes, we created a hat that outperforms anything on the market. Our commitment to innovation ensures that our hand crafted hats provide the highest level of protection, comfort, and style for outdoor enthusiasts everywhere.
